Most people would expect a list of religious books and writings here, but the books with the most
influence on me personally and spiritually are as follows:

1.  The Demonologist:  The Extraordinary Career of Ed and Lorraine Warren by Gerald Brittle--
This book taught me much on the nature and existence of demons, the supernatural and the
power of God and Jesus over this realm.  It taught me the dangers of Ouija and tarot as well as
the danger of opening up doors that do not need to be opened.  This is the book which began
my quest for knowledge of Padre Pio and started my devout devotion to him.  Ed and Lorraine
Warren were demonologists who worked for the Catholic church investigation possible demonic activity.

2. Dracula by Bram Stoker—another example of good over evil steeped with religious symbolism.

3. The Stand by Stephen King-a study of the mistakes and weakness of man and the coming
together of peoples under God to defeat evil.

4. The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty-excellent book again extolling the power of good versus evil
and the power of the Church, through Our Lord Jesus Christ over the dark realm.

5. Hungry Souls: Supernatural Visits, Messages and Warnings from Purgatory by Gerard J.M.
Van Den Aardweg—interesting book on visitations of the dead from Purgatory.

These are a few of the books that have influenced me and have created a strong, unwavering faith
and have increased my curiosity of searching for more.  There is truly a dark side, and through Christ
Jesus and our faith it can be overcome.
