What is the Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary?
Consecration is surrender or "entrustment" of one's self to Mary to foster a deeper relationship to Jesus through the guidance and maternity of Mary. The process of consecration consists of 33 days of prayer and spiritual exercises, with the 34th day being the date of consecration on a Marian Feast Day. Through quiet prayer and meditation, we are invited into contemplating and understanding her role and purpose to lead us to Jesus in a sure and intimate way. After having surrendered ourselves to Mary, we are then invited to continue to increase in our devotion to her through daily recitation of the Rosary and frequenting the sacraments.
